Neighborhood Watch Meeting

A not so friendly K-9 dog and his handler. The kids were able to touch him.

This is the pimped out recruiting car.
This vehicle is called "The Bear". It was used during the DNC last summer.
My hubby (the officer on the left) has been working really hard over the past few months organizing a HUGE neighborhood watch meeting. He was a little nervous about it only because he didn't know how many people would show up and what the weather would end up like. It was a huge success! Almost 500 people showed up and the weather was perfect (we have the sunburns to show for it). Outback Steakhouse donated 200 meals consisting of grilled chicken and hamburgers, potato salad and all the fixins. There were emergency vehicles galore for the kids to go in and explore, jumping castles, and airbrush tattoos. A dunk tank was available for one of the officers to cool off in. The K-9 unit was there to do a demonstration. A raffle included prizes such as massages, tanning packages, gift cards and a load of other gifts. My hubby and all of the neighborhood watch coordinators did an awesome job! Congrats to all on the great turnout.

  1. Awww, look how cute he looks! Awesome! It looks like an amazing meeting!

You know what our meetings are like? A couple of beach chairs in the middle of our street, with all of us sweating our balls off.

    Sweet.

    See you soon!
