We miss donuts! When my son was 18mos and my husband was overseas, we started a tradition, only every 3-5 weeks or so, on a weekend, he'd wake me up early, and ask for donuts... we'd sneak out to Dunkin Donuts. He was so proud to get his own juice from the cooler and order his breakfast. Eventually daddy came home, and later, his sister came along, but we continued the donut outings (we'd bring some home for daddy too, but it was our special time). We moved to Cairo when he was 3yo. No donuts. We have a Cinnabons - but not the same, and they do not open until after 10am!
I want a donut and I don't like donuts :-). I just read your latest entry as well. I love when childrens artisitic talents are admired & coo'd over. It is a great self-esteem builder. The apple was amazing. ~Mary
